Exposé for Safari tabs

It's hard to imagine the browsing world before tabbed browsing came along. I could probably say the same about desktop management after Exposé came along, which makes TabExposé interesting because it combines the two.

TabExposé is a Safari add-on that enables you to view all open tabs in Safari, the same way Exposé displays all open windows on your Desktop. It can help you get perspective on how many tabs you've got open, as well as recover pages that you've lost in a deluge of tabs.

Once installed, you can access TabExposé from Safari's Windows menu or more easily, by pressing F7 or the Fn key if you're using an iBook, PowerBook, MacBook or MacBook Pro. Alternatively, you can define your own shortcut key in Safari's Preferences. Finally, you can access it from Safari's Address Bar by clicking on View->Customize Address Bar. Then select the TabExposé icon from the configuration palette and put it where you want in your address bar.

TabExposé works really well and can handle any number of tabs you throw at it. As soon as you hit F7, your tabs are distributed across the screen in true Exposé style showing you exactly what you've got open. There's nothing more to it than that. The latest release has improved performance in Leopard, especially with Spaces. It also now relies on a CoreDock API instead of AppleScript so it's much smoother and more reliable.

For any tab-hungry Safari user, TabExposé is a superb tool that will especially appeal to fans of Exposé.
